Meta Launches Embedded Appointment Booking for Lead Ads
Meta has introduced embedded appointment booking for lead ads, allowing users to be redirected directly to the advertiser's third-party booking process after submitting a form, without waiting for follow-up contact. The feature requires no coding, supports Calendly and HighLevel, with HubSpot support coming soon. It is currently available only for Facebook ads and is expected to be fully available globally in October.

In a recent commentary by industry expert Andrew Hutchinson on Social Media Today, Meta has announced the rollout of an embedded appointment booking feature for its Lead Ads, which integrates third-party booking platforms directly into the ads themselves. The updated booking form includes pre-filled fields designed to streamline the user registration process.
As shown in the image below, with this updated approach, potential customers who choose to submit their information will be directed straight from the lead ad to the advertiser's third-party booking process.

This integration will ensure that high-intent leads go directly to the booking process on the advertiser's website, thereby reducing friction in the booking process.
Meta explained in its official statement: "The time gap between form submission and appointment booking has always been a challenge for service-based advertisers. Potential customers may fill out a form with genuine interest, but by the time they receive a follow-up email or visit the booking website hours later, that intent has cooled. With embedded appointment booking, we completely eliminate this gap. The booking experience appears immediately after form submission, precisely when lead interest is at its peak."
This improvement is expected to ensure that more leads follow up on their initial interest, and may also drive more users to complete registrations directly from the ad itself.
Meta stated that the setup process for this feature requires no coding. Advertisers simply paste a scheduling link, select "Book Time" as the call-to-action, and publish. The system will automatically detect the calendar provider and integrate the tool where supported.

Currently, the process supports bookings through Calendly and HighLevel. Meta stated that HubSpot support will be available in early August, with plans to add more scheduling partners in the future.
This is a beneficial update that is expected to encourage more people to register directly from Facebook ads, thereby driving more direct response and booking conversions.
The embedded appointment booking feature is currently only available for Facebook ads and is expected to achieve global full availability in October.
