Shoe Station Group has appointed Tracy Dick as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective August 3. She will report directly to the company's interim President and CEO, Cliff Sifford.

According to the company announcement, Dick as CMO will be responsible for leading brand strategy, customer insights, data and analytics, loyalty programs, and public relations, among other matters.

"Tracy knows how to build brands while delivering significant business results," Sifford said in a statement. "She has a strong customer-first mindset, deep retail experience, and a collaborative leadership style, which we believe will help us continue to drive growth for both brands and strengthen connections with our customers."

Dick has more than two decades of industry experience, having worked at companies such as PetSmart, Leslie's, and Jack in the Box. According to her LinkedIn profile, she also served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and E-commerce at Shoe Carnival for about six months from late 2024 to early 2025.

The company did not immediately respond to Retail Dive's inquiry regarding Dick's brief previous tenure at Shoe Carnival.

Earlier this summer, Shoe Carnival Inc. officially changed its corporate name to Shoe Station Group and began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol "SHOE." Previously, the company had sought a single-brand strategy, planning to convert most Shoe Carnival stores to Shoe Station locations, but later abandoned that plan and decided to continue operating a multi-brand business under both the Shoe Station and Shoe Carnival names.

Earlier this year, then-CEO Mark Worden departed and resigned from the company's board of directors. Subsequently, board Vice Chairman Sifford was appointed interim President and CEO, and the company continues to search for a permanent successor.

A year ago, Worden said Shoe Station was the cornerstone of the company's future. "Clearly, Shoe Station is the future of our organic growth and store base," Worden said in May 2025.

Currently, the company operates more than 420 stores across 35 U.S. states and Puerto Rico under its two brands, Shoe Carnival and Shoe Station.
